Oh my gosh! QUESTIONS!!

    Hello again recently I have received a lot of questions so I have decided to answer them on my blog so everyone can see them and if you have some of the same questions I hope I answer them well enough for you. I'm hoping I will get a lot of questions so I can try my best to answer them all but I apologize if I miss your question. The first question comes from a photo friend and his question was have you had  a photography “ah-ha” moment? In my opinion this could mean many things like learning new things, the moment when everything clicked or a picture that I am surprised about that I really love and maybe other people love too. Yes I have had an "ah-ha" moment. The moment was when I was setting up a photo using fairy lights and a crystal ball but it wasn't the original photo I was planning for.The moment was when I put the lights and the ball down on my bed. I didn't notice that it was a perfect photo opportunity until after I turned back around. It was pretty funny because when I saw the lights and the ball I yelled YEESSS! Pretty funny but I yelled exactly how I was feeling as soon as I saw the crystal ball and the lights sitting perfectly together for a photo I took the photo and put it on instagram. The photo's title was looking through the crystal which is a perfect name for this photo in my opinion. This is me looking through the crystal.

 

What's SCI?

Some of you may not understand what SCI stands for well I'm going to tell you SCI stands for
Sunset City Images. What is sunsetcityimages? Sunsetcityimages is the name I hope to give my future photography business as well as my instagram username. I thought about the name for a lot I went through a lot of names. One time I was taking a picture of the sun around golden hour. When I though about my favorite times and places to be. My favorite time to takes pictures is sunset and my favorite place to be to take photos is in the city. As soon as I chose those I has to choose between photos or images the way I did that was constantly asking myself photos or images?
photos or images? I finally decided to pick images it sounded more professional sounding to me that's where Sunsetcityimages came from.

Hello, welcome to SCI

Hi I am Rachel I am a young photographer with a huge passion in photography. I have been taking photos for about a year and have learned recently that people love my photos and that I am an inspiration to some which is CRAZY. To be honest I never thought about photography being a possibility in my life path and I discovered it by a complete accident. It all started when I was sick one day and I saw a pair of my shoes in the corner they were Converse knockoffs they were black with green and black laces. I'm so happy I threw my shoes into the corner only the day before or maybe I wouldn't have ever started taking pictures. Anyway I got out of my bed (cause I was sick) and grabbed my Iphone off my nightstand and took a picture of them. Yes a picture as simple as that started a year of photos and a diploma in wedding photography, a bunch of excellent photos in my opinion and some pretty awesome new photography friends too. A few weeks ago I started to not like my photos and felt like completely giving up but I went back and looked at the first picture I took of my shoes and a few other of things like my blue guitar, locks, and animals and I remembered why I started. I started and kept going because I was having a lot of fun taking them and editing them even in my opinion they weren't my very best. But before I knew it people really liked the photos I was taking. It made me feel really good on the inside to know that all the work I put into those pictures was worth the time. Not saying I'm good at writing or with grammar but I'm going to keep on writing these sometimes maybe about some secret projects:). Thanks for reading.
